This feature allows users to control their Windows 11 PC using voice commands. One of the exciting additions to this update is the ability to create
custom voice commands or voice shortcuts.
How-to guide:
Step 1: Enable Voice Access in your Windows 11 settings.
Step 2: Open the Voice Access Commands Page:
- Navigate to the Voice access commands page.
- Click/tap on Voice shortcuts in the left pane.
- Click/tap on the Create new shortcut button in the right pane.
Step 3: Define Your Voice Command:
- In the When I say box, type or say the voice command you want (e.g., “Insert work address”).
Step 4: Choose an Action:
- Select an action from the Perform action(s) drop-down menu (e.g., open a specific URL).
Step 5: Provide any necessary information for the selected action.
Step 6: Group Your Shortcuts:
- You can add the shortcut to an existing group (e.g., “General (default)”) or create a new group (e.g., “Custom”).
- Organize your custom voice commands as needed.
Step 7: Save Your Custom Command:
- Click/tap on Save to finalize your custom voice shortcut.
