Both products have had changed their name in the last 12 to 18 months. Microsoft 365 used to be Office 365 and Google Workspace used to be called G Suite.
These are productivity suites that are commonly used to perform and manage business tasks in the Cloud. Using a web browser or desktop application you can easily access and use features like calendars, emails, spreadsheets, documents and presentations. Both suites follow the same approach, which is that organisations should be able to complete several tasks simultaneously without having to resort to using apps from other providers. Google Workspace tends to be more popular among businesses, holding 50% of the market compared to Microsoft 365’s 45% market share. Companies like Facebook, YouTube, and X use Google Workspace. Although large companies also use Microsoft 365. Both Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 are extremely reliable, with uptimes above 99% for both platforms. Both are subscription models, so your business should expect to pay a monthly fee.
Both, Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 are strong contenders when it comes to office software with both offering an array of features.
